Draft Scenic Rim Region Biosecurity Plan 2023-2028 Survey
CLOSED: Contributions to this consultation are now closed for evaluation and review
Council has developed the Draft Scenic Rim Region Biosecurity Plan 2023-2028 and is seeking your input to better prepare the community in understanding, responding to and taking accountability for the shared responsibility of managing pest plants and animals.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
When you commence the survey, there will be questions about yourself (will not identify you). This lets Council capture important demographic data from the Scenic Rim region.
The questions in the survey focus on:
- Determining your level of awareness of your General Biosecurity Obligation (GBO),
- Raising awareness of the strategic priorities that guide and support the objectives and actions,
- Identifying your top three (3) priorities for implementation for each of the strategic priorities, and
- Seeking your feedback on the list of invasive species as priorities to manage in the region and their respective management categories.
Survey submissions will be accepted by Council between 28 July and 12 September 2023.
Once all feedback has been considered, this information will ensure Council's Draft Scenic Rim Region Biosecurity Plan 2023-2028 provides a holistic approach to biosecurity threats by invasive species through improved coordination, participation, awareness and enforcement and will be presented to Council for adoption later this year.
Participants who complete this survey will automatically go into the draw for a chance to win one of six $100 Shop Scenic Rim Gift Cards (competition terms and conditions apply).
Prize winners will be announced on 29 September 2023.
To enter, please provide your name, email address and telephone number in the last question of the survey so Council can contact the lucky winners. Competition terms and conditions apply, please refer to Let's Talk Scenic Rim https://letstalk.scenicrim.qld.gov.au/ or request a copy from one of Council's Administration or Customer Contact Centres.
