Stage Two | The results
Following considerable community feedback, Council adopted the final version of the Scenic Rim Economic Development Strategy 2026-2030 at its Ordinary Meeting on 27 August 2025.
Stage One of the consultation process took place from 3 to 24 April, during which 411 community members and local business representatives contributed valuable insights on the Scenic Rim’s attractions, facilities, industries, infrastructure, and services — highlighting both strengths and opportunities.
Stage Two was conducted via the Let's Talk Scenic Rim the community engagement platform from 16 June to 14 July, offering the community an opportunity to review and validate the Draft Strategy as a practical roadmap for sustainable economic development across the Scenic Rim and its communities over the next five years and beyond.
All feedback received has been thoughtfully reviewed, and where appropriate, incorporated into the final Scenic Rim Economic Development Strategy 2026–2030, which outlines 32 targeted actions to drive sustainable growth, support local businesses, attract investment and enhance the region’s liveability and visitor appeal.
We extend our thanks to all who contributed to the Strategy. Community feedback plays a vital role in guiding Council to meet the needs and expectations of our residents. To read the Scenic Rim Economic Development Strategy 2026-2030 go to: Corporate Publications | Scenic Rim Regional Council.
