Statement of Intent

In the formulation of the Scenic Rim Community Plan 2011-2026, and the more recent review in 2018, the Scenic Rim community and Council have jointly confirmed that climate change and adaptation present a challenge, require an outcome and are priorities for attention to secure the best future for our region.

The purpose of drafting Council's final Statement of Intent is to guide future projects and programs of work in keeping with community values. This is also an opportunity to find out some insights regarding community understanding regarding Climate change and gain an understanding of expectations of Council and the type of support needed in adapting/mitigating climate change impacts.



You have the opportunity below, to provide some background to how Climate Change is perceived in the region by participating in our survey. Then, you can add some ideas on what individuals as well as Council can do in contributing to Climate Action. Thank you for being part of this important conversation.
