Waste Facilities Review
As part of our Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy 2021-2026 (Waste Strategy) Council is reviewing how we can increase diversion of waste from landfill and improve customer experience.
Scenic Rim Regional Council operates a network of seven waste transfer stations. These stations are distributed across the region in populated areas to provide maximum convenience for local residents.
Council is keen to hear how our Waste Transfer Stations are functioning from the user perspective. We're providing an opportunity for you to make comments on any one of our 7 sites.

The site is open 9.00 am - 5.00 pm six days a week with last entry at 4:50 pm. CLOSED Wednesday.

Canungra Waste Transfer Station is located at 2036 Beaudesert-Nerang Rd.
The site is open 9.00 am - 5.00 pm six days a week with last entry at 4:50 pm. CLOSED Thursday

Central Waste Transfer Station is located at 43 Waste Facility Rd, Bromelton.
The site is open 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, seven days a week, with last entry at 4:50 pm.

Kalbar Waste Transfer Station is located at 14 Muller Rd, Fassifern.
The site is open 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm Wednesday, 9.00 am - 12noon Saturday & Sunday with last entry 10 minutes before closing time. CLOSED Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

Peak Crossing Waste Transfer Station is located at 62 Faulkners Quarry Rd, Harrisville.
The site is open 9.00 am - 12noon Wednesday, and 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm Saturday & Sunday with last entry 10 minutes before closing time. CLOSED Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
