Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback on the Draft Land Management Plan for Fassifern Reserve. We are excited to provide you with an update on the Draft Land Management Plan for Fassifern Reserve, prepared by Council as the trustee for the reserve, to effectively manage interests and activities on trust land.

Community consultation was conducted via the Let's Talk Scenic Rim platform from 25 November 2024 to 2 January 2025. During this period, we invited community members to share their feedback on the proposed additional uses of Fassifern Reserve to assess support or opposition for Council consideration.

We are pleased to report that the feedback received indicates strong support for the Draft Land Management Plan, with 87 per cent of respondents in agreement. While two respondents expressed their opposition to the proposed additional uses, Council is considering all feedback to update the plan and address community concerns.

The updated plan will focus on current and future land management activities and will inform Council in relation to any potential future lease for part of the site, on appropriate terms.
